My Vision

I believe effective trusteeship requires listening deeply to students, faculty, and staff; using evidence to guide decisions; and staying grounded in the community the college serves. At a time of rapid economic, technological, and workforce changes, this kind of leadership is essential to ensuring Glendale Community College prepares students not just to enroll, but to persist, complete, and thrive.

These five priorities guided my campaign and continue to shape the questions I ask, the issues I pay attention to, and the perspective I bring to my service on the Board of Trustees.

Strengthening Transfer and Career Pathways

Students come to community college to prepare for what’s next, whether that’s a career or transfer to a four-year university. Clear pathways, strong advising, and early academic support help students move forward with confidence.

Students can’t prepare for the future if they’re struggling with food, housing, transportation, or mental health. Investing in basic needs and wellness services helps students stay focused, enrolled, and on track.

Learning takes place in classrooms, online, and everywhere in between. Students deserve engaging, high-quality instruction with reliable technology and access to support, no matter how they take classes.
